Just a quick update that most likely no one will read, but here it is anyway:
- I have switched comment systems, were now with Disqus. Blogger did a terrible job at preventing spam so Im hoping Ill get luckier with Disqus. I removed about 2000 spam comments so far.
- Nginx HTTP Server, 3rd edition is coming up soon! The first draft is complete. After checking out user reviews online we decided that this edition should focus on examples and case studies, rather than standing for the ultimate directive reference or index. The first edition from 2009/2010 was meant as an exhaustive reference that people could use at all times, but several readers complained that the information was readily available online. We never pretended otherwise but we tried to make the documentation in the book more accessible and legible. Hopefully this new edition will prove satisfying to all.
- 2 million page views on the blog - were almost there! In a couple of days the amazing milestone of 2,000,000 page views will be reached, I never thought it would go this far when I started the blog a few years back. I havent posted much lately but thats because I have been busy working on all sorts of projects. I try to post at least 8 to 10 times a year.

Diablo 3 � o mais novo lan�amento da Blizzard e tamb�m uma das continua��es mais aguardadas de todos os tempos.
Sucesso total de vendas, o jogo que j� entrou para a Hist�ria acaba de ganhar uma vers�o gratuita, chamada de �Starter Edition�, que vai oferecer quase tudo o que est� no jogo completo.
Aqui, algumas caracter�sticas do game estar�o dispon�veis de forma restrita. Entretanto, caso voc� resolva adquirir a vers�o completa, todas as conquistas e avan�os alcan�ados pelo seu personagem ser�o levados adiante e todas as limita��es da Starter Edition ser�o eliminadas.
O retorno do mal
Diablo III continua a hist�ria 20 anos depois dos acontecimentos na da expans�o Lord of Destruction. O mundo tem estado em paz, e a Worldstone tem defendido os habitantes da regi�o de Sanctuary h� d�cadas, desde a derrota dos tr�s mestres do mal: Mephisto, Diablo e Baal. Por�m, nada � para sempre.
A pedra m�gica foi destru�da e os dem�nios voltaram para espalhar morte e destrui��o por todos os lados. Novamente, a regi�o de Tristam � uma das primeiras a experimentar essa tormenta, al�m de servir de local para o aparecimento de novos her�is que est�o dispostos a combater todos aqueles que perturbam a paz.
Matando dem�nios
Esta terceira sequ�ncia da s�rie continua com a mesma f�rmula dos t�tulos passados, em que voc� controla um �nico personagem a partir de uma vis�o a�rea. A maior parte dos comandos � executada com o mouse, sendo que voc� pode clicar em uma �rea aberta para andar pelo cen�rio ou apontar sobre um inimigo para atac�-lo.
Mesmo que este novo cap�tulo esteja mais focado na a��o, muitos elementos de RPG continuam presentes. Voc� ainda pode checar os atributos do seu personagem, bem como o seu invent�rio de itens. Armaduras, armas de corte e lan�adores de proj�teis ainda fazem parte do t�tulo, al�m de muitos outros equipamentos de combate.
A interface tamb�m � bem parecida com as anteriores, com globos de energia vital e �mana� dispostos nas duas extremidades da tela. Os golpes especiais podem ser acessados pelos �cones na parte de baixo ou pela tela especial em que todas as habilidades s�o mostradas de uma s� vez.
Personagens
Como era de se esperar, Diablo 3 conta com v�rias classes diferentes de personagens para serem escolhidas. Os tem�veis e perigosos b�rbaros est�o de volta, bem como um shaman da floresta chamado de Witch Doctor e um virtuoso monge. As cinco classes presentes s�o:
- Barbarian (B�rbaro), usando pontos de F�ria;
- Monk (Monge), usando pontos de Esp�rito;
- Witch Doctor (Feiticeiro), usando pontos de Mana;
- Wizard (Arcanista), usando pontos de Poder Arcano; e
- Demon Hunter (Ca�ador de Dem�nios), usando pontos de �dio e Disciplina.
Os ataques especiais que cada personagem pode executar tamb�m foram amplamente revigorados, com magias que fazem paredes de zumbis surgirem do ch�o, investidas mortais que destroem dem�nios e at� mesmo raios que v�m do c�u.
Uma mudan�a interessante � que, agora, � poss�vel coletar as moedas de ouro e po��es que os inimigos deixam no ch�o apenas andando sobre elas, sem a necessidade de voc� clicar para adicionar os itens ao invent�rio. Alguns personagens, como o Monk, tamb�m podem alimentar o seu contador de mana apenas golpeando os inimigos.
As evolu��es entre os v�rios n�veis diferentes para o seu personagem continuam, por�m voc� n�o vai mais precisar escolher os pontos de atributos que devem ser aumentados. As habilidades especiais tamb�m s�o liberadas automaticamente, bastando apenas que voc� atinja o �level� necess�rio antes de poder utiliz�-la.
Multiplayer
Quanto � jogatina online, Diablo 3 conta com uma s�rie de novidades. Uma das mais not�veis � que os itens que voc� v� espalhados pelo ch�o s� podem ser coletados por voc� mesmo. Dessa forma, n�o existe mais a necessidade de correr atr�s dos melhores equipamentos depois que um chef�o for derrotado.
Tamb�m foi adicionada a Auction House, uma casa de leil�es em que jogadores podem comercializar os equipamentos mais valiosos pelo maior pre�o. Vale lembrar que todos os personagens ser�o �resetados� quando jogo for lan�ado no m�s que vem, garantindo que todos os que adquirirem o Diablo 3 comecem a sua aventura do mesmo n�vel.
