Disable Gmail’s Automatic Image Loading

Disable Gmail’s Automatic Image Loading

I dont know if youve realized, but Gmail now loads images instantly if these are contained within. Let me give you an example:

Gmail Comparisson.

To the left is the old way, you would need to click Display images. To the right is the feature where images are loaded instantly. This is nice because you can now see the images, and whats the mail about. But to some people this can be annoying because they have a slow Internet speed or they are charged by consumption.

If you are one of these people, or just dont want the images loaded instantly, theres a simple way to disable it. Go to the Option > Settings.

GmailSettings

In the first tab, General, there is an option named Images, you can select Always display external images (now the default setting), or switch it to Ask before displaying external images.

Display External Images

Scroll down and hit Save Changes. And thats it, you should now get Gmail the way it was or change it the new way, whichever option you select.

Just remember that if you select the images to be loaded instantly it may be slow and can charge extra megabytes if you pay by consumption... your call.

Disable Automatic Restart Blue Screen

Disable Automatic Restart Blue Screen

How to Disable the Automatic Restart Blue Screen

Sometimes when Windows-based systems suffer a system failure, a blue screen error message will appear, displaying the type of error that caused the system failure. Often a computer is programmed to automatically restart when a blue screen error message appears, leaving the user unable to see what caused the failure. It is possible, however, to adjust the settings so the computer does not restart automatically when a blue screen appears.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

  1. 1
Click the "Start" button on the lower-left side of the screen.
  2. 2
Select the "Control Panel" option from the Start menu.
  3. 3
Locate the "System" icon and double-click it.
  4. 4
Select the "Advanced" tab from the System Properties window that appears.
  5. 5
Click the "Settings" button under the "Startup and Recovery" section, then uncheck the box next to "Automatically Restart" under the "System Failure" section.
