Blue Screen Of Death Fix
Blue screen of death fix, the Blue Screen of Death also known as a Stop Error, Blue Screen, Blue Screen of Doom, BSOD, Bug Check Screen or Stop Screen is an error screen displayed by an operating system after a crash. There is a great possibility that you will have heard of or seen the Blue Screen of Death. It turns the computer or laptop screen completely blue with an error code. A Blue Screen of Death is the worst type of error a computer or laptop can experience, unlike other crashes like an application crash, which doesn’t bring down or completely affect the whole system. A Blue Screen of Death is the result of low-level software crashing or a faulty hardware and it affects the whole system.
Causes of Blue Screen of Death
Blue Screen of Death is caused by hardware problems or conflicts or issues with low level software running in the Windows kernel. A blue screen can also occur when Windows encounters a “STOP ERROR” This critical failure causes Windows to crash and stop working. The only thing Windows can do is stop the computer and restart it. This process can lead to data loss, as programs don’t have a chance to save their open data. Normally, programs should continuously save their data so a blue screen of death or other type of error won’t result in data loss. When a blue screen occurs, Windows automatically creates a “mini dump” file that contains information about the crash and saves it to your disk. You can view information about these mini dumps to help identify the cause of the blue screen.
Fixing Blue Screen of Death
If you just installed a new hardware, the Blue Screen of Death can possibly be be caused by an incorrect driver. To fix this problem boot Windows into Safe Mode (by tapping F8 just before the Windows logo appears). In Safe Mode, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware Manager to uninstall the device.
Other causes of Blue Screen of Death are faulty RAM, a computer trying to boot from a corrupt CD and bad capacitators on the motherboard, though this is very rare. Blue Screen of Death can also occur due to file corruption. To fix this boot from the Windows installation CD and go to the Recovery Console. From the command line run chkdsk /r to fix file errors. Once chkdsk is done, exit the Recovery Console and try restarting the computer.
Even if the Operating System seems to start normally now without any problem, you still need to run the manufacturers hard drive diagnostic program to check for hardware errors. If Windows is running but the hard drive fails the test, then it means that you need to get a new hard drive. Chkdsk has only temporary put a hold on the original problem and the Blue Screen of Death stop error will return. If after running chkdsk Windows still crashes with a Blue Screen, but the diagnostic program report shows that the hard drive is good, then the hard disk can be used again. In this case, you need to first recover the data. After that, run the Windows installation program, remove the partition and format the hard drive. Do not use the "quick format" option. Removing the partition and formatting the hard drive erases ALL data on the drive and this process rectifies the problem.

ASUS Taichi21 DH71 11 6 Touchscreen Convertible Ultrabook Review
ASUS Taichi21-DH71 11.6" Touchscreen Convertible Ultrabook Review At about six weeks in, I have mixed feelings about the Taichi. It is drop-dead gorgeous, slim and well put together. Both displays work well. It is light and well balanced enough to use as a tablet and is a wonderful travel companion -- better than a laptop or a tablet as it fuflfills both missions.
Mine came with a case, stylus, cleaning cloths, along with an inner case holding network and VGA dongles.
The issue, as the computer press reported, ASUS Taichi21-DH71 is that it is not a touchscreen laptop--to save thickness or cost, or perhaps battery life, the inner screen is not touch controlled and this forces you into using Windows 8 in a non touch screen environment - which is less than ideal. Loading Classic Shell is helpful, but I would have preferred it if Windows 8 had been designed to provide a Windows 7 experience when installed on a non-touch enabled device. I bought a Logitech 650 touchpad to use with the laptop side, but that is not a real solution.
ASUS Taichi21-DH71 I find that I am using the tablet side more, and enjoy the split virtual keyboard. The stylus also works well.
Wireless performance is very good, unlike the Transformer Prime. While boot time is pretty quick, WIndows 8 apps and some programs take a long time to load. This could be due to the limited RAM, I am used to machines I build with 16GB of RAM.
I have not blown out the ASUS partition and bloatware, which many reviewers recommend. I am not certain whether I could recover the programs if I change my mind-there is no rescue disk so I will be making a disk image when I get it set up to my liking and may try a re-install of Windows 8.
I have the variant with the Core I7 and 256GB SSD. ASUS Taichi21-DH71 The Core I7 is a battery hog-I get only 4 hours before plug-in. It gets slighly warm, but nowhere near as hot as my last tablet pc, the HP TM2 Touchsmart.
I picked this over the Yoga and the Dell XPS 12, and I do not regret my choice, but I wish both screens were touch enabled. If you are considering this I recommend you try to get your hands on first to see if its for you.

For that here I try to explain the specification laptop / notebook that match and has hardware that is already well recognized by the current linux desktop. Here I did not mention brands, but you can recognize the hardware specifications. This I wrote an outline of just my own experience:
1. To Processor
Both Intel and AMD are now well recognized by all the technology in Linux that are popular today.
2. For chipset Video
All existing video chipsets are now able to run linux with a standard graphical display. For a minimal 3D chipset is from Intel. Ranging from Intel 945 up to X1300. This chipset is directly running 3D Compiz Fusion to run on Linux.
To run a heavier 3D please select the output from the NVidia chipset and the ATI and if it could be a dedicated video memory (no share of the RAM). Both chipsets requires its own drivers in Linux.
3. For Wifi Chipset
Here, Intel remains a champion in the introduction of direct harware in Linux. For other chipsets such as Broadcom and Atheros also requires its own drivers in linux, can also use ndiswrapper.
4. Disk.
I think the hard disk is recognized well by linux either IDE or SATA.
5. Network Card
All chipsets Network Card Laptop now also been well recognized by linux.
6. Webcam / Camera
This is still a bit difficult. Because only a few vendors are mengelurkan drivers for linux, it is also the installation manually. Chipset webcams already can run on linux with separate drivers that I know Acers new and microdia chipset.
7. Internal Modem
Most of the already recognized by the current linux. If that is not detected may indeed require a special driver.
Broadly speaking, thats all I can review the specifications of the laptop or notebook is good for running Linux. This is different from the current UMPC already include Linux OS in it, of course, all the hardware is going well.
From my survey results remain Laptops with Centrino specification from Intel (Intel chipset from the motherboard, processor, wifi, video) is the right choice if you do not want to be bothered with the business drivers in linux.
